Dr. William Elliston and Harriet Hammond Elliston started growing flowers as a hobby in 1936. It all started when a war-buddy of my Grandfather sent him boxes of gladioli bulbs from overseas. My Grandfather planted them and my Uncle Rowley sold them on the street as a kid. Soon thereafter, my Grandparents took on more varieties and different species, mainly Peonies. After my Grandfather died in 1985, I turned their hobby into a small business. And here we are! Offering nearly 50 different species and varieties of cut flowers. The list represents our most popular produce. Everything is field grown and no pesticides or herbicides are used. We are an organic farm practicing IPM, Integrated Pest Management. |
